Students completing their California prelicense education. Course completion is one step toward licensure; examination and other DRE requirements also apply.
How access works
After confirmed payment, your purchase is linked to your CES student dashboard. New students receive an email link to choose their dashboard password.
CES staff manually arranges course enrollment and emails your separate learning-platform login credentials. Payment confirmation is separate from course access. Textbook shipment is handled by CES.
Course requirements and expiration
Study at your own pace, subject to the applicable minimum course-completion periods and final-exam requirements in your enrollment disclosure. Enrollment lasts one year. Extensions are not available; after one year you must repurchase to continue.
DRE application processing varies. Consult the current DRE processing timeframes rather than planning around a fixed estimate.

Return Policy
If for any reason you decide to cancel your enrollment, we will issue a refund (less a $50 registration fee and shipping & handling) if cancellation occurs by midnight of the 5th business day after the date of enrollment.
No refund will be issued after the above mentioned time period.
If you paid by credit card, your account will be credited within 30 days.
All textbooks, if ordered, must be returned to the school, in good and usable condition*, within 5 days of the date of cancellation.
If you do not return the material supplied by the school within this 5-day period, the school may keep an amount out of what you paid that equals the price of the textbooks for the course.
Textbooks are $50 each.
The school will refund any amount over that as provided above.
*Good and usable condition means that the textbook is unmarked and undamaged by shipping.
It shall be the student's responsibility to package and ship the course material in such a manner as to assure compliance.
Course Expiration
Course enrollment lasts one year from the date of enrollment.
Extensions are not available.
After one year, you must repurchase the course to continue.
Time to Complete
Since our courses are done by home-study, how quickly you complete the program is up to you.
However, the California Department of Real Estate has certain minimum time of completion guidelines:
Minimum Time Needed
The minimum time to complete courses according to the Department of Real Estate (DRE) is 2 1/2 weeks (18 calendar days) per course from the date you receive your material.

3 Courses 7 1/2 Weeks
Maximum Time Allowed
The maximum time allowed for completion of your course is 1 year from the date of enrollment.
Completion of the course means taking and passing the course final examination.
Once you have successfully completed the qualifying pre-license course final exams, we will send you an official Course Completion Certificate along with an application for the state exam.
From the day you mail your application to the DRE, it usually takes 3 to 4 weeks to get a state exam test date.
This waiting period can vary depending on how many applicants are applying for the state exam at any given time.
Typical Time Line:

Finish three courses: 7 1/2 weeks minimum (Of course you may progress at your own pace)

Wait for a state exam test date: 3-4 weeks (this can vary depending on how backed up they are)
3.
Wait for issuance of license: 2 weeks
